The Wonders of Nature

No matter how many art and craft activities I provide for the boys, they can never compare to the wonders of nature discovered by children when they have the opportunity to get outside and explore.

Recently, the boys were playing in the sand at the edge of a river.

Suddenly, there were shouts of delight as a stingray swam right past their feet.

This creature was so pretty.

The boys named it a leopard stingray due to the creature's spotty markings.

I always thought stingrays were greyish in colour and had no idea they could be brown with black spots like a leopard. It just goes to prove that you're never too old to learn something new.

I believe it's a privilege to be involved in the life of a child. Watching the excitement and joy children experience as they discover their world, is not only priceless but contagious.

Oh to see the world through the eyes of a child! Thank you, boys, for letting me be part of your discoveries as you explore the wonders of nature and life.
