Story Elements

In case you're wondering about what goes into our stories ... the story elements ... this pretty much sums it up:
Story Elements
While I'm not claiming our stories are great, (what am I saying ... of course they are!), I do try to consider all of these components which combine to create effective stories for children.

No wonder it takes so long to create these books! I'm feeling tired just thinking about it!

However, this is only the beginning as after the story has been created, there's a lot more which goes into the process.

There are Guide Notes to write, interactive activities & music to create and audio tracks to record.

Once all that is done, it has to be put together in a computer-friendly application.

Many big organisations have large teams of people working on their projects and I can see why. It would be great to have a department working on music, computer animation, layout, illustration, marketing, etc.

Wait ... what am I talking about? There is a department for each of these ...it's called 'me'! :o Or more accurately, it's called "my family" - as all the members in our household contribute to the process in one way or another through their support and feedback.

So why do we do it? For the most part, we enjoy the process. However, the main reason is because we hope these stories will help foster a love of reading in children!
