Our DIY Kid's Art Gallery is an art activity we recently engaged in which we absolutely loved. It was so stress free and enjoyable. Did I mention simple? Open-ended? Creative? Inexpensive? Okay ... I won't go on and on.
This is how we did it.
Step One - Set up the art gallery.
We started with some old fax paper which was fixed to a glass sliding door with sticky tape.
On each strip, I drew some empty frames.
Step Two - Arm the Artists.
Each artist was allocated a row of frames and given a pen - and time to work on their own.
Step Three - Listen to the Stories
Once the artists had finished, they expanded on the stories they had created in their frames.
That's it. Easy. I love how, in the simplicity of the whole project, creativity, language and story-telling skills were engaged.
