Here's an apple puzzle idea I found over on A Mom With A Lesson Plan. I just had to try this apple puzzle out with the boys.
The idea is to create a 3 dimensional puzzle out of an apple. This is so easy to do.
You can use a whole apple, or half an apple.
The beauty of this puzzle is that you can make it as easy or as difficult as needed to match the abilities and skills of your child.
When I gave these puzzles to the boys, they immediately set to work at putting the apple back together.
Afterwards, they gobbled those apples so quickly, I had to look twice. Never have apples been eaten so quickly.
What a fantastic way to incorporate problem solving to snack time!
I can see that apple puzzles are going to be a regular part of our life from now on.
